Carlos Hernandez
Mr. Hernandez is originally from Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. He started playing the violin when he was 9 years old. Later, he decided to dedicate himself to music and did his Undergrad, Masters, and Artist Diploma in Violin Performance. Halfway through his Artist Diploma, he discovered that he actually enjoys teaching as much as playing. As such, he went back to school for a second Masters but in Education. He then went on to teach at Dobyns-Bennett High School and Ross N. Robinson right after graduation and now he's joining us here at ORHS.
Professionally, he has played with different Orchestras such as Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, Symphony of the Mountains, Johnson City Symphony, among others. Mr. Hernandez comes to us with motivation to continue to build and nurture the Oak Ridge City Schools Orchestra program. |
